Debra has been writing fiction since she was nine years old. She began her career as an editor, then became a ghostwriter for a popular local shopping maven. She has published comics, short stories, web articles, catalog copy, blogs, podcast show notes, and flap copy; tutored young writers; and worked as a proofreader and nonfiction editor.

She is also a certified Montessori teacher and administrator with a passion for seeing each person reach their full potential.
